How to make Chicken Barley Soup

This is an easy to make barley soup that is enriched in flavors. It's filling and perfect for a cold winter day.

Ingredients:

- 2 Carrots

- 1 Medium size onion

- 1 Liter of water

- 100g chicken

- 5 big mushrooms

- ½ cup of pearled barley

- 3 tablespoons of tomato sauce

- ¼ teaspoon of turmeric

- 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil

- Salt and pepper

Directions:

1. Start with dicing the carrots, mushrooms, and the onion. Then one at the time starting with the diced onions add them to your pot and add in the oil. Let it cook at a medium temperature.

2. After 5-6 minutes add in your chicken and let that cook for another 10. Then add in the barley, salt, and the spices.

3. Add in the water and after the water starts boiling bring the temperature down to low. Leave it on the stove on a low temperature for another 5-6 hours.
