In this post, you'll learn about how to make your own home-made yogurt. We've been making our own yogurt for years now and it tastes better and helps us save up on some grocery money.

Ingredients:
- 1 liter of milk (0.26 gal)
- 2 tbsp of yogurt
Directions:
1. Heat up your milk to its boiling point.
2. After it has reached its boiling point, turn down the heat by a little and let the milk boil for another 10 minutes to lose some of its water.

3. While the milk is boiling, get 2-3 table spoons of yogurt and let it warm up to room temperature.
4. After you reached the 10 minutes, let the milk cool down to about 113°F or if you don’t have a way of measuring that, it should be cool enough for you to be able to stick your pinky finger in it and count to 10 without it being too hot for your finger.
Note: If your milk is too warm when you add the yogurt, it might have a large layer of water on top when the yogurt is done. If the milk is too cold when you add the yogurt, the process of making yogurt won't even happen.

5. Get about ½ of your milk and mix it with your 2 tbsp of yogurt.
6. Then add the mixture to the rest of the milk and store in a container with a lid.

7. After you added your yogurt to the milk, close the lid and wrap the container with some cloth or a towel so the milk doesn’t lose its warmth quickly.

8. After 5-6 hours, your yogurt should be ready. Let it sit in room temperature for another 30 minutes before you store it in the fridge.

Enjoy!
